The short version
- We use a handful of cookies to log you in, keep you logged in, and count how many people are on the site right now.
- We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics such as Google Analytics.
- Google Maps, YouTube and Vimeo videos do not load until you click to load them, so those companies cannot set cookies on our pages before then.
- Your shopping basket and a few display preferences are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
Things saved in your browser
These stay on your device. We do not receive them, and you can clear them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Third-party services
Google Maps, YouTube and Vimeo
Some pages show a map or a video. These are blocked until you click to load them. Once you do, Google (which owns YouTube) or Vimeo may set its own cookies and receive information such as your IP address, under Google’s privacy policy or Vimeo’s privacy policy. If you do not click, nothing is loaded from them.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Public forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are a person, not a spam bot. It looks at information about your browser and device to do that check. Cloudflare says it does not use this information for advertising. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Stripe checkout
When you pay, you enter your card details on pages or forms provided by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud. These are controlled by Stripe, not by us. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
- No social media tracking buttons.
If we ever want to add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in to the Portal. Your browser’s help pages explain how:
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as your choice to opt out of any non-essential cookies or tracking. Today we do not use any advertising or analytics cookies to switch off, but we will keep respecting the signal if that changes.
