Right size,
first time.
Everything about ordering from the club shop: what the youth sizes actually mean, how customised shirts work, what delivery costs, and what to do when something turns up wrong.
Four steps from basket to Saturday morning.
- 01
Pick the item and the size
Every product page lists the sizes actually in stock. A size that has sold out cannot be added to the basket — it is not hidden, it is just greyed out, so you can see whether it is worth waiting for a restock.
- 02
Add a name and number if you want one
Shirts marked customisable open a printing panel: choose a squad number and a surname, and you will see it laid out on the shirt before you commit. Customised shirts are made to order, so they take a little longer and cannot be returned unless faulty.
- 03
Checkout and choose how it reaches you
Pay by card at checkout. Pick standard delivery, express delivery, or collection from the club — collection is free and is usually the fastest option if you are at training anyway.
- 04
Confirmation and updates
You get an order confirmation by email straight away with a reference number. Quote that reference in any message about the order and whoever picks it up can see the whole thing immediately.
Buy for now, not for next August.
Kit sizes are age-banded, and the age on the label is a guide rather than a promise — children of the same age vary enormously. If your child is between two bands, take the larger one: a slightly loose shirt plays fine, a tight one gets abandoned.

Older youth players and parents buying for themselves use these. Caps and scarves are one size (one size).
Sock sizes

- 35-40UK 35–40

Match socks are sold as a pair and go by shoe size, not age. Buy two pairs if you can — one is always in the wash on a Friday night.
Not sure? Ask at training
The simplest way to get sizing right is to try a shirt on before you order. Ask your child’s coach — there is almost always a sample of each size in the kit bag, and thirty seconds at the side of a pitch beats a return in the post.
Three ways to get it, one of them free.
Standard delivery is free once your basket reaches £50.00 — the discount is applied at checkout, so you will see the postage line drop to zero before you pay.
Standard delivery
£3.95 — free over £50.00
UK addresses. Reaches most Essex postcodes within a few working days. Orders that meet the free-delivery threshold have the standard charge removed automatically at checkout — there is no code to enter.
Express delivery
£6.95
Flat rate, chosen at checkout. Worth it when a shirt is needed for a specific weekend — but check the collection option first, because that is often quicker still.
Collect from the club
Free
Choose collection at checkout and pick the order up at training or on a match-day. No postage, no waiting in for a courier, and you can try the size on the spot and swap it there and then.
Returns and exchanges
Wrong size? Swap it.
- Unworn, still tagged — tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will exchange it for another size or refund it.
- Customised shirts — a shirt printed with a name and number is made for one player and cannot be resold, so it is non-returnable unless it is faulty or we printed it wrong. Check the spelling on the preview before you pay.
- Faulty or incorrect items — send us a photo with your order reference and we will sort it out and cover the postage. That applies whatever the timescale; a seam that fails in week three is not your problem.
- Easiest route of all — bring it to training. A swap at the side of a pitch takes a minute and costs nothing.
Something wrong with an order?
Talk to a person.
Missing item, late delivery, printing mistake, or a size that has been out of stock for weeks — message the club with your order reference from the confirmation email and the size or item involved. The shop is run by the same volunteers who run the club, so a clear message gets a fast answer.
